I go for a walk with our two dogs and deeply connect with the earth and all of Mother Nature.

Besides heading toward the mat I like to sew and mend so it is the stitching of a garment that helps me focus and relax.

I like to plan a quilt. I then have to change my thought process. Then I start cutting.

Im with you, Lizzie. I have to get out on a hike or skis to move my body....Yoga, breathing and music all help too....I remind myself of your moms instructions to turn the brain inward and breath into the heart.

For me, like you, when my thought swirl about in circles, movement & attention to breath helps greatly. Just the other night at about 3:00am, I quietly laid out my yoga mat & spent about 20 minutes slowly moving and breathing.

In the daylight hours, getting outside and walking helps.

Yes, we're having fun. Today we visited the Salzburg Cathedral to hear the organ music. It was a total heart chakra opening moment - and honestly the twins felt it too!

I bundle up and take the dog for a walk in my snowy neighborhood. Navigating the drifts and ice and watching my very furry dog enjoying being out in his element keeps me focused in the present moment.

My off the mat go to is often putting on some good tunes and dancing around the house. This does not only change my mood but is such a great release!
