Lizzie, I can definitely relate. Oh, I’ll do just one more thing then I will rest, ya right! A friend reminded me of what your mamma says “ I know you can do more, but can you do less?” Blessings 🙏
Lizzie, this practice is amazing. I have been dealing with chronic pain related to scoliosis. I did this practice this afternoon and I feel the best I have felt in weeks.
Mum syndrome. There’s always something to do before I can relax properly 🙄. But of course that’s a never ending list that has to be let go at some point or we’d never stop!
“…Using busy-ness to avoid resting…” So true! The allure of checking things off of my To Do list is a wily deterrent to mindful rest. Thanks for entertainingly naming the truth! 😉

It's amazing how much poop I'll deal with rather than rest/ be still. And the poop always seems so urgent🤣🤣
Yes. Partly why I started a conscious practice of detachment. That what you experienced is the war within from the Gita.
I enjoy how real you keep it! Thank you.

sometimes rest comes easier after all the "to do's" have been checked off...that's a belief or expectation that i have that isn't necessarily true.
Thx Lizzie. Oh so true!
