The other day, I caught myself doing laundry instead of savasana. Then I moved on to cleaning the bathroom sink. And then the toilet.
That was the moment when I started laughing at myself thinking: I’m literally cleaning up poop to avoid being still. Sad, but very true.
Using busy-ness to avoid resting is one of my favorite strategies. Can you relate? Heart/comment below.
Today I’m sharing a Non Sleep Deep Rest practice that invites you to feel your breath from inside and outside your body at the same time. If you try it, please like and follow over on YouTube.
What is NDSR? It’s a guided relaxation tool that, according to Stanford University Professor of neuroscience Andrew Huberman, “has enormous effects on not just accessing sleep and calm, but enhancing rates of neuroplasticity.” Yes, pelase.
Until next Sunday,
Lizzie

Lizzie, I can definitely relate. Oh, I’ll do just one more thing then I will rest, ya right! A friend reminded me of what your mamma says “ I know you can do more, but can you do less?” Blessings 🙏
It's amazing how much poop I'll deal with rather than rest/ be still. And the poop always seems so urgent🤣🤣
