Lizzie, would love to view a chair yoga class. We all have times when we need to practice in a different, creative way whether from injury, surgery or illness. May you continue to regain your energy and completely recover soon. Peace and blessings
That was amazing. Before the practice having slept badly, I was also worried, lost in my huge to do lists, quite pessimistic and now I feel ready to be anchored in my chore and the present moment. So grateful ππΌ
Fabulous. Alot of my previous yoga work centred around the core. At the time I felt steadfast. Since then my practice has slipped. I am currently trying to re-establish a good routine. This reminder of the importance of working with the core and this lesson about how the gut interacts with the brain and our wellbeing was a super insight. Many thanks for sharing. X x
I think the class you're proposing for covid recovery is a great idea. I was super inspired to create something after I recovered...but those ideas seemed to evaporate as I got healthier. The whole time I was sick and suffering mostly from diaphragm spasm, I kept thinking about what would be most helpful to me, and possibly others. I found it hard to stay connected to my practice when I was essentially in flight or fight for two weeks, struggling to breathe, unable to talk at all. I SOOOO hope your case is mild and that you continue to improve quickly. Blessings!
Thanks to you and Mary Richards I am looking forward to do my plank(!), now I know so much more about its benefits for the gut. I especially liked the comment of Mary about the shaking. I know that animals do shake strongly after having trauma or being close to death etc. So it makes totally sense that it is beneficial for humans too and that we don't need to stop it when it happens.Love the calming voice of Mary very much. And Yes, chairyoga, I'm in!
This was Brilliant, Mary Richards! As a Yoga Therapist, your ques touched all the Koshas and wrapped us around our
entire bodies! Just Fabulous!ππΌπ
Totally agree. Mary is amazing.
As YOU are!ππΌπ

Yes, "anchored" is such a great way to describe it.

A chair for recovery would be great; probably for anything, in case one was lucky enough not to get COVID (so far).
Coming here on Sunday. Stay tuned.
Always, always fascinating the mind body connection! Thank you both for this informative and inspiriting (body shaking) content. xx
You're so welcome, Marie.
