But what’s the actual point of Restorative yoga? I mean, aren’t we just lying around being self indulgent or (worse!) lazy?

No. Here’s another way to think about it. When we make the physical body feel comfortable, and the energetic body feel safe, we are actually:

  • Building resiliency to stress

  • Attuning to our inner states

  • Self-soothing

  • Re-connecting to self

  • Transforming how we experience the body

  • Relaxing into abundant inner energy

  • And unlocking creativity

Not to mention the proven benefits for circulation, immunity, digestion, fertility, mental health etc.
