Chair yoga for covid recovery

18

A note about the cadence of this newsletter. I’m downshifting for awhile: same content coming your way, just moving to once a week (Sundays) for awhile.

After five days in bed with Covid, I was sitting outside on our balcony, feeling grateful for the April sun on my face, when I sensed the spontaneous desire to move and breathe. I closed my eyes and listened. This is the sequence that came through.

Please forward this email to anyone who might benefit from a gentle return to interoception: conscious attention to the interior landscape of sensation.

If you’re new here, here’s the link to subscribe to this free newsletter. I’ve also added this video to my YouTube channel. Please subscribe over there too!

Lastly, a book recommendation and an announcement:

  • I spent my Covid week reading Bittersweet: How Sorrow and Longing Make Us Whole which expresses something about the human spirit that I’ve felt my whole life, but never been able to articulate. Beautifully cathartic.

  • Are you ready to deepen your relationship with Restorative yoga? In June I’m offering an in-person Restorative Yoga Teacher Training in Utrecht: a charming university town full of canals and painterly Dutch light. The special early-bird price ends on April 22nd.

Until next week,
Lizzie

Upcoming ways to connect:

  • Do you want to practice more Restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation? Join us for Silence is Everywhere: a three-day experiential Zoom workshop (with recording).

  • Save the date for our next free live savasana session for subscribers to this newsletter: Tuesday April 26th at 10:30am Salzburg time. As always, the recording goes out here later that week.
