“Where can I relax right now? Where am I holding tension that doesn’t serve this moment? How could I actually make this easier by doing less?”
These are the questions I keep asking myself while back-country skiing here in the wildlands of northern Iceland.
Especially when I get scared, sliding down icy slopes, I keep reminding myself to relax. Everything gets better - I ski safer, respond to the terrain better, feel better, enjoy more - when I relax.
But doesn’t that also apply to my life? To your life?
So, today, I encourage you to ask yourself this single question over and over: where can I let go?
And if you like playing with this mantra, please let me know how it feels in your body.
Sending love,
Lizzie

Where can I let go resonate with me. I have occasional difficult moments when I just cannot go to sleep at night. Letting go of’ I have to’ is a step there too. Thank you for reminding me just now.
I couldn't have been in a more restful position when I read your email. On the couch, with coffee in hand, a pillow on my lap holding my computer...two dogs napping near by...cats elsewhere also napping...a quiet early morning. And yet I was holding onto tension that wasn't on my radar until I read your words. All the parts of me that were 'hanging on tight' gently released. Thank you for this moment. Much love to you and the words you share. xx
