How was your Thanksgiving?

Perfect.

I traveled 20+ hours and 7 time zones to be bit by monster mosquitos and drink American beer on the back of a hunting truck in South Texas.

And hug my people.

I’m the youngest of 11 cousins who have 27 kids. Suddenly, at 40, I’m undeniably part of the older generation.

How do I know? No dish washing duty anymore.

I felt old. But also held. And the bittersweet passing of time.

Dirty and tired, I’m flying home to my Rascals today.
