Here's your goodie bag

22

The transition between summer and fall is the hardest season. Trading the delights of long warm days (flip-flops, swimming outside, leisurely dinners with friends in the garden) for the realities of fall (socks, rainy afternoons, increasingly shorter days) always sparks, for me, a feeling of melancholy.

So I’m asking myself: how can I gently unwind this feeling? How can I be tender with the child-like part of me who feels sad about something she cannot change?

Today’s answer is by roasting squash and simmering a big pot of chicken broth and sitting here, under a cozy blanket, writing to you with this song on repeat.

Do you feel the weight of this seasonal shift as well?

In case you missed this week’s free Philosophy Class, here’s your recording goodie bag. It includes a full length episode from Office Hours about Ishvara Pranidhana.

It’s all in celebration of our new Practicing Patanjali class. Are you ready to learn more about the rich philosophical underpinnings of yoga and how they can inform and uplift your life? Short samples in the video above, and here. Achtung: special pre-enrollment discount ends tomorrow, Monday, September 12th.

Oh, and Munich yogis: I’m teaching an in-person Restorative Workshop this afternoon called Opening Up and Letting Go. Warum nicht spontan mitmachen?

Before I go, I want to say thank you for being here. It’s an honor to share my life, and this yoga path, with you.

Until next week,
Lizzie
