I’m packing for our journey home: 36+ hours from the woods of Montana (via car, plane, 12 hour layover, plane, train, train, taxi) to Salzburg, Austria. Part of me is terrified, already making myself anxious about traveling with two (potentially cranky) 2-year-olds.
But what if it’s easy? Why am I ruining my last day at the magical Feathered Pipe Ranch worrying about tomorrow?
The theme of the Restorative yoga class I taught yesterday afternoon was: ease is a choice. I spoke about stirum sukham asanam (2.46 from Patanajali’s Yoga Sutra) which says abiding in ease is Asana. And my challenge to the students was to decide to be easy in the pose.
So I’m taking my own advice. I’m deciding to be easy about tomorrow’s travel day. I’m deciding to let the anxiety soften through me. I’m deciding to just breathe and fold t-shirts.
Wish me luck,
Lizzie
